We are a registered SOQ and we are located in Stilbaai, Western Cape, South Africa
Gratitude Wellness Village SOQ is situated 11km from the N2, 16km from Stilbaai and 35km from Riversdale, Western Cape, South Africa. The farm, in the past named Favour Stud, is well known in the Horse Industry because was once a training and breeding facility for race horses.
We offer space for 33/35 Horses (max.15 stallions) in spacious -3x3.5m- stables. We have grassy paddocks for the daily turn-out time. There is ample parking space and turning points for horse boxes, floats and trucks. 24/7 personnel present on site
For owners and/or grooms travelling with the Horses we offer single or shared accommodation. A restaurant is on site as well and it is open every day between 9 and 17.00
The managers/owners Vanessa Malvicini, Edoardo and Karsten Eggers have been developing and managing Horse Farms for the last 22 years and are since 2019 owners of this facility which they decided to purchase because of the exceptionally good conditions for Horses and for the potential it entails for successfully running their already existing Horse business
Vanessa is an Equine Facilitated Experiential Learning Practitioner and she has been involved with Horses all her life. She grew up in the Italian Horse racing reality and she was, during holiday and weekends, involved in the day to day operations of her grandfather’s racing stables. In 2006 she completed her equine studies in Arizona, USA, and she has been running clinics in Europe and South Africa. Together with Edoardo, Karsten, 3 managers and 5 grooms she runs the Gratitude Wellness Village stable yard and SOQ, which has at present -in 2024- around 45 Horses: livery, own and retired race Horses.
